awe
shucks.

Thanks for getting to know me a bit better! I am a creative professional who has been in the industry for many years working in a diverse range of industries including:

  • agency and corporate B2B and B2C,

  • healthcare,

  • software and tech including SaaS,

  • A/V, lighting, and architecture,

  • fitness and wellness,

  • and tradeshows and events.

My value has been provided in areas of:

  • graphic design,

  • creative and art direction,

  • brand management and strategy,

  • marketing, campaign, and planning,

  • social media planning, design, writing, and management,

  • and copywriting and editing.

I aim to bring an empathic, human-centred, diverse, inclusive, and relevant strategy to each project.

I’ve had the opportunity to work for DaVita, a fortune 500 company; Vista Consulting Group, the consulting partner for Vista Equity Partners, a market-leading investment firm; the United States Air Force; as well as multiple leading Texas-based design and marketing firms.

In my earlier days (I no longer enter competitions), I was awarded multiple Student ADDY’s (American Advertising Awards—one of the industry's largest creative competitions), won multiple scholarships and grants for my design work, and even designed the packaging that won 1st place in the Austin Hot Sauce Festival (that’s a big deal for Texans!).

Along with my creative background I am also a health and wellness nut! I have been a certified personal trainer and sports nutritionist for several years. I have always been into fitness and movement of all kinds. I love lifting, hiking, snowshoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, and practicing yoga.

I have had the amazing opportunity to live in different countries, and I’m now based in Vancouver, British Columbia. I believe these unique experiences have helped me develop an empathic understanding and appreciation for different cultures and communities—which provide immense value to my brand and creative strategies.

I am an avid philanthropist and have been actively engaged with a number of organizations in my local communities including serving as a designer for the Vancouver-based The Pet Cancer Fund, being a “Big Sister” for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Texas since 2016, fostering at-risk dogs and onsite volunteering for the no-kill shelter Austin Pets Alive!, and helping rebuild a school in Houston, TX with All Hands and Hearts, a natural disaster relief organization.
